As Dean, I wish to emphasize our commitment to diversity and inclusion and to assert the importance of non-discriminatory treatment on the basis of gender identity and gender expression.
New Indigenous Languages and Culture Certificate
This fall, Queen's Arts and Science will be launching a new Certificate of Indigenous Languages and Culture. This new certificate program will introduce students to Mohawk, Inuktitut and Anishinaabe languages and deepen students' understanding of Indigenous cultures.
Art Conservation Program Receives Prestigious Grant
"The internationally-recognized Master of Art Conservation program at Queen’s has received a grant of $632,000 over five years from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation to develop conservation research and online courses with a focus on Indigenous material culture.

Art Conservation student restores pieces for the National Gallery of Canada
Queen's Master of Art Conservation student Patrick Gauthier worked to repair and restore a severly damaged piece of art, Whatif/Twilight by Ron Moppett, which is now on display at the National Art Gallery of Canada.
Chemistry PhD Student Wins Award for Groundbreaking Cancer Research Discovery
Queen's Chemistry PhD Student Caitlin Miron has won the 2017 Mitacs PhD Award for Outstanding Innovation. Ms. Miron has discovered a DNA binder that, in essence, prevents cancer cells from spreading.
