Description:
This workshop will help participants to recognize the features of an effective report, think about their purpose and audience, gather and organize information, produce a succinct and clear report to appeal to a specific audience, and be able to assess their own work for the purpose of revision. They will also learn to maximize efficiency of the report writing process.

- Describe the basic characteristics that set a “report” apart from other written documents.
- Identify the purpose and parts of various types of report.
- Explain the stages of one approach to report writing.
- Write a short report.
- Critique a sample report and recommend changes for improvement.
