Black Histories & Futures Month Reception

Black Histories and Futures Reception

Kingston, ON
–

Black Histories and Futures Month is a time of celebration!

Join Black-identifying Kingston community members from various organizations like St. Lawrence College, ¹û½´ÊÓƵ, Limestone District School Board, The Black Luck Collective and many others as we gather in the spirit of the month.

This is an opportunity to connect, network and share experiences.

Families, children, friends, colleagues and more with diverse and intersecting identities are all welcome to join in this celebration of community.

Authentic Afro-Caribbean Food will be provided by Ellas Cuisine and Sally's Roti. Both meat and vegetarian options are available. There will be a cash bar available to those of age (19+).

For additional dietary restrictions, please let us know by sending an email.

Non-Black identifying community members are welcome to attend the event to show solidarity and support. Please be respectful and mindful of the space and purpose of the event.

A performance by Tynomi Banks will follow the reception. Don't forget to as this Drag Superstar brings us the ultimate Black realness show. Join Tynomi for a night of impersonations of some of your favourite Black performers.  This production will have you dancing in your seats from Donna Summer to Tina Turner to Whitney and so much more.
