The one and only drag sensation Tynomi Banks and Canada’s Drag Race alum is headlining a new Ontario-wide theatre concert series, SOLID GOLD: An Evening with Drag Superstar Tynomi Banks that will be sure to keep audiences electrified during the cold winter months. Drag Superstar Tynomi Banks brings us the ultimate Black superstar realness show. She’s Big, She’s Black, She’s Beautiful, and Banks owns the stage.  Join Tynomi for a night of impersonations of some of your favourite Black performers.  This production will have you dancing in your seats from Donna Summer to Tina Turner to Whitney and so much more. Along with her dancers, expect the most from this show full of choreography, singing, comedy and celebrating these beautiful legends.

Stay for a brief talkback following the performance with Tynomi Banks hosted by Jermaine Marshall. Jermaine Marshall (he/they) has a Master of Arts in Social Justice and Equity Studies and works as an Inclusion and Anti-Racism Advisor in the ¹û½´ÊÓƵ Human Rights & Equity Office. Performing under the name J-Marsh, Jermaine is an independent vocalist and poet whose art weaves together love for spoken word poetry and free-form dancing, often investigating his identity as a proud queer Jamaican within the polarizing atmosphere of his home country.

Venue accessibility

The south entrance to the Grand Theatre off Opera Lane has a ramp and button activated door openers. There are two accessible parking spots located directly west of the main entrance to Kingston Grand Theatre. Street parking cannot be reserved. Nearby accessible parking can be found in the Upper Bruce Lot and Chown Memorial Garage. 

Accessible seating for wheelchairs and scooters is available on the main floor/orchestra level and can be reserved through the Box Office. Two manual wheelchairsare available for use at the Regina Rosen Auditorium. Guide animals are permitted and a relief water station can be provided with advance notification.

There is an accessible lift between the first and third floors to access the Baby Grand and Spriner Lounge from the main lobby. There is a smaller elevetor between the second and third floors to access the Davies Lounge. Wheelchairs and scooters wider than 36 inches and longer than 44 inches cannot be accommodated. Fully accessible washrooms are available on the main level and a partially accessible individual washroom is available on the second level.
